getting heritage organisations online
About
I am currently an AHRC funded PhD student at Durham University. With a background in art history and data science, I borrow methods from computer science, digital humanities, and museum studies to explore trends in museums’ online content. My most recent paper charts 315 UK museums’ website and social media use over the pandemic, while an upcoming publication highlights how platforms’ algorithmic interventions can skew who is recommended museum content. You can use the buttons below to read more about my PhD research and experience.
Projects
In addition to my research, I work with galleries, libraries, archives and museums to improve their online presence. In addition to advising on digital strategies, I have experience in using common software such as Omeka, and I am adept with Python and HTML/CSS. You can see some of my past projects here.
